My name is Paolo Navarretta and “The Black Crown” is my musical project. I’m a Musician and Producer from Italy. After playing on an Album and an Ep with my previous band Mustywig , and having toured in Italy and US, I decided to begin a new musical adventure. In the 2010 I released a 4 track EP under the name “Waiting Room” with the singer Alessandro Monte (Mustywig, Janara) and Bass player Marco Somma (Nani Sordi, Lemonkillers). That EP was the embryo of what the Black Crown would became. Due to the distance, It has been difficult to make that band survive, so I decided to take the role of singer. In May 2016, I started the final production of the debut album. During the recording process I was helped by two friends: Fulvio Di Nocera (Polina, Songs for Ulan) that played Electric Bass and Double Bass and Scott Haskitt (Solo Artist, Birds over Arkansas), behind the Drumkit. In August 2016, ten tracks were completed, and the album “Fragments” was ready to be released. I personally took care of the album in every single phase, from the composition, through the mixing and mastering process, ending with the Artwork.
